Job Summary:

The Director of the Computer Science & Engineering Department is responsible for providing strategic leadership, academic excellence, research development, industry collaboration, accreditation compliance, faculty development, and overall administration of the department. The incumbent will drive innovation in teaching-learning processes, promote research culture, strengthen industry-academia partnerships, and ensure the department's growth in line with institutional goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Academic Leadership
- Provide strategic direction for academic programs, curriculum development, and departmental growth.
- Ensure effective implementation of AICTE, UGC, NBA, and NAAC guidelines.
- Monitor teaching quality, course delivery, and student learning outcomes.




- Introduce emerging technologies and industry-relevant courses in areas such as AI, Machine Learning, Data Science, Cyber Security, Cloud Computing, and IoT.
- Promote outcome-based education (OBE) and continuous academic improvement.

Research & Innovation
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance research productivity.
- Encourage faculty and students to publish research papers in reputed journals and conferences.
- Facilitate funded research projects from government and industry agencies.
- Establish research centers, innovation labs, and incubation facilities.
- Promote patent filing, consultancy projects, and technology transfer initiatives.

Faculty Management & Development
- Lead recruitment, mentoring, performance evaluation, and retention of faculty members.
- Identify training needs and organize Faculty Development Programs (FDPs).
- Foster a culture of academic excellence and skilled growth.
- Monitor faculty workload and ensur
