Role Summary

The Sports Coordinator is responsible for leading and managing the school's sports department, ensuring the effective implementation of VIBGYOR High's sports curriculum and extracurricular programs. The role involves planning, organizing, and supervising all sports activities while fostering a culture of fitness, discipline, teamwork, and excellence. The coordinator also mentors PE teachers and coaches, manages sports infrastructure, and represents the school in inter-school and competitive sporting events.

Key Responsibilities -

1. Sports Program Management
- Develop and implement the annual sports calendar aligned with the school's academic schedule.
- Plan and execute Sports Day, Annual Athletic Meet, inter-house competitions, and inter-school tournaments.
- Coordinate participation in district, state, national, and international competitions.




- Ensure smooth execution of all sports events while maintaining quality and safety standards.

2. Team Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and evaluate Physical Education teachers and sports coaches.
- Conduct regular meetings, training sessions, and performance reviews.
- Allocate duties and monitor staff performance.
- Promote collaboration and continuous career development within the sports department.

3. Student Development
- Identify and nurture sporting talent across different age groups.
- Develop training plans for school teams.
- Encourage maximum student participation in sports and fitness activities.
- Track students' performance and provide regular progress reports.

4. Curriculum Implementation
- Ensure effective delivery of the Physical Education curriculum.
- Integrate fitness, wellness, and life skills into sports education.
- Monitor lesson planning and teaching standards.
