We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented CNC Setter to join our manufacturing team. The CNC Setter will be responsible for setting up and preparing CNC machines for operation, ensuring all parameters are correctly adjusted for effective and accurate production. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of CNC programming, tooling, and machining processes, along with a commitment to quality and safety standards. This role plays a critical part in achieving high production output while maintaining product quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up CNC machines (Turning/Milling/Grinding) according to job specifications and engineering drawings.
- Load and install cutting tools, jigs, and fixtures as per operational requirements.
- Adjust machine settings such as speed, feed, and tool position to ensure optimal performance.
- Perform machine trials and first-piece inspection to validate setup accuracy.
- Monitor machining operations and ensure parts are produced within specified tolerances.
- Collaborate with CNC operators and quality inspectors to resolve technical or dimensional issues.
- Conduct minor troubleshooting and preventive maintenance on machines to minimize downtime.
- Maintain accurate setup records, tool change logs, and machine settings for future reference.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standard operating procedures.
- Assist in optimizing machining processes for increased productivity and reduced cycle time.
- Report any defects, non-conformities, or equipment malfunctions to the supervisor.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in the work area as per 5S standards.
Qualification & Skills:
- Education: Diploma/ BE Mechanical
- Experience: 3-6 years working on CNC Machine
- Programming the CNC/VMC machine and adjusting the machine setting,
- 2D programming knowledge, Fanuc & Siemens Control knowledge, Drawing reading n Tools knowledge
