About the Role

We are looking for a skilled and experienced PCIe Validation Engineer to join our silicon/hardware validation team. In this role, you will be responsible for validating PCIe IP and system-level implementations across pre-silicon and post-silicon environments, ensuring compliance with PCIe specifications and high-quality product delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Validation Planning & Execution

•

Develop and execute comprehensive PCIe validation test plans covering functional, performance, compliance, and corner-case scenarios

•

Perform pre-silicon validation using simulation environments (UVM/SystemVerilog) and post-silicon validation on FPGA prototypes and silicon

•

Execute PCIe compliance testing using industry-standard tools (Teledyne LeCroy, Keysight, etc.)

•

Validate PCIe Gen 1 through Gen 6 features including equalization, LTSSM, link training, power management (L0s, L1, L1 substates), and error handling

Debug & Root Cause Analysis

•

Analyze failures using protocol analyzers, oscilloscopes, and logic analyzers

•





Perform signal integrity analysis including eye diagram evaluation, jitter analysis, and margin testing

•

Drive root cause analysis (RCA) for complex hardware/firmware/software interaction bugs

•

Collaborate with design, firmware, and software teams to resolve issues and implement fixes

Test Infrastructure & Automation

•

Develop and maintain automated test frameworks and regression suites for PCIe validation

•

Write scripts (Python, Perl, or TCL) to automate test execution, data collection, and reporting

•

Contribute to lab infrastructure setup including PCIe endpoint, switch, and host controller environments

Compliance & Interoperability

•

Ensure PCIe IP and system designs meet PCI-SIG specification compliance requirements

•

Conduct interoperability testing with third-party PCIe devices and platforms

•

Represent the team at PCIe compliance workshops (PCIe CEM, plugfest events)
