Sales-cum-Business Development Manager Solar Energy - Rooftop, Commercial & Industrial (C&I;) Solutions Department Reports To Location Employment Type Sales & Business Development Head of Sales / Business Head [City / Region] Full-time Target Segment ROLE PURPOSE Residential, Commercial, Industrial, EPC & Channel Partners Own end-to-end revenue growth for solar solutions: generate qualified demand, develop recent markets and partnerships, understand client energy needs, coordinate technical proposals, and convert opportunities into profitable projects.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES •

Build and manage a healthy sales pipeline through direct outreach, referrals, site visits, channel partners, consultants, and digital lead sources. • Meet monthly and quarterly booking, revenue, margin, and collection targets for rooftop and C&I; solar projects. • Conduct discovery meetings with decision-makers; map electricity consumption, roof/land availability, tariff, operating hours, and project objectives. • Present solution value: electricity-cost savings, payback, return on investment,



carbon reduction, reliability, and available financing options. • Prepare commercial proposals, quotations, bid responses, and presentations with accurate scope, exclusions, timelines, and payment milestones. • Negotiate pricing, terms, contracts, and project handover requirements while protecting margin and customer experience. • Develop strategic relationships with EPC partners, electrical contractors, architects, consultants, industrial associations, and financiers. • Maintain CRM discipline: lead stage, next action, win probability, forecast, commercial assumptions, and competitor intelligence. • Coordinate with engineering, procurement, projects, and service teams from enquiry through commissioning and final collection.

SOLAR TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED •

Strong working knowledge of grid-connected rooftop and C&I; solar PV systems, including typical system architecture and project life
