The uPVC Profile Compounding Executive is responsible for preparing high-quality uPVC dry blend compounds as per approved formulations while maintaining product quality, production efficiency, and safety standards. The role includes raw material weighing, mixing, batch traceability, quality checks, and maintaining housekeeping in the compounding area.
Key Responsibilities
Production
- Prepare uPVC dry blend according to approved formulations.
- Weigh all raw materials accurately before batch preparation.
- Operate hot and cold mixers as per standard operating procedures.
- Monitor mixing temperature, mixing time, and cooling temperature.
- Ensure uniform dispersion of additives in every batch.
- Maintain production targets with minimum wastage.
- Prevent contamination between different formulations and colors.
Raw Material Management
- Verify raw materials before use.
- Ensure FIFO (First In First Out) for all materials.
- Record batch numbers of PVC resin, CaCO, TiO, stabilizers, lubricants, impact modifiers, processing aids, pigments, and other additives.
- Report any damaged or non-conforming material immediately.
Quality Control
- Ensure each batch meets approved specifications.
- Coordinate with QC for:
- Bulk density
- Dry blend temperature
- Fusion characteristics
- Color consistency
- Moisture content
- Hold any non-conforming batch until QC approval.
Machine Operation
- Operate:
- Hot Mixer
- Cold Mixer
- Conveying System
- Storage Silos (if available)
- Perform routine cleaning and inspection.
- Report equipment abnormalities immediately.
Documentation
Maintain records of:
- Batch production
- Raw material consumption
- Mixing temperatures
- Batch numbers
- Production quantity
- Shift reports
- Downtime records
- Rejected batches
Safety
- Follow all PPE requirements.
- Handle chemicals safely.
- Maintain clean working conditions.
- Follow fire and electrical safety procedures.
- Report unsafe conditions immediately.
