We are looking for a detail-oriented Quality Controller (QC) specializing in fresh produce, specifically bananas, to join our team at BIOGREEN FOOD STUFFS. You will be responsible for inspecting incoming fresh produce, monitoring post-harvest and ripening processes, ensuring strict adherence to export/market quality standards, and minimizing product waste across storage and packing facilities.

Key Responsibilities
- Inspection & Quality Assessment: Perform raw material, inline, and final quality inspections for fresh produce (specifically bananas) based on size, grade, color/calibration, finger length, pulp temperature, and visual appearance.
- Defect Identification: Identify physical damage, pest/disease symptoms, crown rot, bruising, scarring, chill damage, or over-ripening issues early in the chain.
- Ripening & Storage Monitoring: Monitor banana ripening room conditions (temperature, humidity, ethylene levels) and cold storage temperatures to ensure proper shelf life and optimum quality.
- Compliance & Hygiene:



Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and sanitization standards (HACCP, ISO, GAP) across all handling and packing areas.
- Documentation & Reporting: Prepare daily QC reports, rejection/acceptance logs, and audit records for management and suppliers.
- Feedback & Coordination: Work closely with warehouse staff, farm managers, packhouse teams, and logistics to resolve quality complaints and maintain high standards.

Requirements & Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree/Diploma in Agriculture, Horticulture, Food Science, Quality Management, or a related field.
- Experience: 1–3+ years of experience as a Quality Controller or Inspector in fresh produce, packhouses, or cold storage operations (experience specifically with bananas or tropical fruit is highly preferred).
- Technical Knowledge: Understanding of banana grading standards, post-harvest handling, cold-chain management, and defect identification
