Job Purpose
To assist in the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems and equipment in the factory, ensuring protected operation and minimum production downtime under the guidance of senior electricians.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in preventive and breakdown maintenance of electrical equipment.
- Support installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical panels, motors, lighting, and wiring.
- Perform routine inspections of machines and electrical systems.
- Identify and report electrical faults to the senior electrician.
- Replace defective electrical components such as switches, MCBs, contactors, relays, fuses, cables, and lighting fixtures.
- Maintain electrical tools and ensure proper housekeeping in the work area.
- Record maintenance activities in maintenance logs and checklists.
- Follow electrical safety procedures, lockout/tagout (LOTO), and use PPE at all times.
- Assist during machine breakdowns to minimize production loss.
- Perform any other maintenance-related work assigned by the supervisor.
Experience
- 0–2 years of experience in electrical maintenance.
- Freshers with ITI qualification can also apply.
Required Skills
- Basic knowledge of electrical wiring, motors, panels, and industrial electrical systems.
- Ability to use electrical testing instruments (Multimeter, Clamp Meter, Megger).
- Basic understanding of electrical drawings and circuits.
- Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to work in shifts and during breakdown maintenance.
- Good communication and teamwork.
