POSITION | Director – Centre for Indic Jurisprudence
Purpose
Rishihood University is seeking a founding Director to build and lead the Centre for Indic Jurisprudence from the ground up. This is an institution-building role, not a caretaker academic post: the Director will recruit the founding team, set the research agenda across the Centre's three intellectual layers (Indic Reasoning, Indic Jurisprudence, and Contemporary Applications), launch the Centre's flagship programs and publications,
and lead fundraising against a three-year roadmap. The Director will work closely with a Governing Board chaired by Hon'ble Justice UU Lalit and a panel of Visiting Adjunct Scholars, while holding full executive responsibility for operations, partnerships, and growth.
Responsibilities
Institution Building & Strategic Leadership:
Translate the Centre's vision, to become the world's leading institution for the study, development, and application of Indian traditions of jurisprudence, into an executable multi-year strategy.
Lead execution of the three-year roadmap: Foundation (Year 1), Knowledge Creation (Year 2), and National Platform (Year 3).
Build coalitions with law schools, universities, and jurisprudence centres in India and globally to grow the field.
Research Leadership:
Direct work across all three layers of the Centre's intellectual architecture: Indic Reasoning (Nyaya, Mimamsa, Tarka, Pramana
