1) Asset Lifecycle & Operational Governance (HAM + SAM)
Own and execute lifecycle controls for IT assets (request, procurement, deployment, maintenance, transfer, retirement, and disposal), ensuring assets are centrally governed and traceable.
Maintain accurate asset records (asset ID, assignment, location, status, ownership) and support recurring inventory reviews and reconciliation activities.
Enforce governance for authorized vs. unauthorized assets and support audit readiness through evidence and reporting.
Support secure and compliant decommissioning/disposal practices with appropriate logging and documentation in the asset repository.
2) Software Asset Management (License Management & Compliance)
Manage software entitlement and usage tracking, support license position visibility, and handle license queries as a first point of contact (where applicable).
Support license usage reporting and metering-driven optimization (identify unused licenses, reclaim/reallocate opportunities).




Coordinate with relevant stakeholders for software movements and retirement controls to ensure registers and repositories remain current.
3) CMDB Ownership Alignment & Configuration Data Quality
Ensure asset data is structured for CMDB consumption (accurate CI attributes, lifecycle states, ownership, location, and relationships).
Partner with ITSM process owners to strengthen CMDB integration with Change, Incident, and Problem Management and enable impact analysis through CI relationships and service mapping.
Drive CMDB data quality practices (standardized entry, validation, audits, governance, and access controls).
4) ITSM Integration (Service Alignment)
Embed asset lifecycle events into ITSM workflows (requests, incidents, changes, and problems) to reduce operational risk and improve service outcomes.
Contribute to cross-functional improvement initiatives that identify gaps in current asset practices, improve data accuracy, tracking, and governance, and align with broader ITSM enhance
