Responsibilities

▸?️ Manage the complete tendering process — from receipt of enquiry through to bid submission.

▸? Study tender documents and ensure full technical, commercial, and contractual compliance.

▸? Prepare techno-commercial offers in coordination with Engineering, Operations, Procurement, Finance, and Legal teams.

▸⚖️ Review and negotiate contract terms — payment terms, performance guarantees, liquidated damages, taxes, and insurance.

▸? Prepare detailed cost estimates covering manpower, spares, tools, equipment, subcontracting, and consumables.

▸? Develop competitive pricing strategies to ensure profitable bid outcomes.

▸?️ Attend pre-bid meetings, client discussions, and commercial negotiations.

▸? Maintain comprehensive records of tenders, contracts, vendor quotations, and pricing data.

▸? Handle contract amendments,



change orders, claims, and contract closure activities.

▸? Prepare MIS reports, tender status reports, and management updates.

▸?️ Drive continuous improvement of tendering processes through standard templates and digital tools.

Qualifications

▸? B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical, or a related Engineering discipline.

▸? MBA or PG qualification in Finance / Contracts is a robust advantage.

▸? 25–30+ years of relevant experience in Tendering & Contracts — preferably in Thermal Power Plant O&M;, EPC, or Heavy Engineering.

▸⚡ Background in similar industries strongly preferred.
