Mission of the Role: Senior Technical Artist is a specialized professional who combines artistic and technical skills to solve complex problems in the fields of 2D & 3D GUI, animations, and visual effects. They bridge the gap between creative designers and developers, ensuring that the creative vision is implemented effectively in a technical setting. This position will focus on leveraging the knowledge of software, programming languages and technical tools to troubleshoot and optimize the assets, working closely with designers and developers to convert the creative vision without losing the design intent. The range of products in scope are Instrument Clusters, Head-Up Displays, and Infotainment systems.

Key Objectives of this Role:

Responsible for the implementation and optimization of UI Design related projects or aspects of the projects in defined scene composers.
Assure high visual quality and performance on the target hardware, by smart application and combination of tools and skills.
High independent communication with internal teams and external partners and customers.




Close collaboration with other Technical Artists, UI Designers and Graphic Engineers within the global design team and customer peers.
Support UI designers on asset setup, create and/or customize assets to fit defined implementation strategy.
Write performance optimized shaders in defined languages (e.g. GLSL) for materials, behavior and animations of graphical elements.
Support the integration of pre-defined plug-ins, materials, and effects from VFX library with support of more experienced Technical Artists and Graphic Engineers.
Work within defined toolchains and processes and focus on continuous improvements of the workflow
Grow and maintain effective partnerships with internal and customer UI Design groups
Asset Planning & Delivery support for Lead Designer through JIRA
Mentor Junior Technical Artists
Documentation for best practices.
