Elasticsearch, Cassandra, Kafka, Redis, Ceph etc to deliver 24x7 service to our
customers worldwide.

We are looking for an individual who is proficient in Oracle databases with
multi node RAC databases , high volume production databases. He must be
enthusiastic in learning new technologies and automate day-to-day tasks.

This individual is primarily responsible for keeping productions systems running
across our many worldwide platforms and is responsible for the reliability,
performance, and scalability of mission-critical Oracle RAC environments. This
role leads the design, deployment, and ongoing optimization of clustered
database systems, ensuring high availability and resilience. It involves driving
performance tuning, capacity planning, and proactive issue prevention, while
establishing best practices for automation, monitoring, and incident response.
This role also mentors team members,



collaborates with cross-functional teams,
and provides strategic direction to continuously improve database platform
stability and efficiency.

DBRE will be working closely with Development/Engineering, SRE, Infra,
Networking, Support teams and Worldwide Customers to provide 24x7 Support for
Qualys production applications to improve the service through database
optimizations. This position will report to Manager DBRE.

Responsibilities:

* Perform installation, configuration, performance tuning of multi node Oracle
RAC databases
* Identifying the bottlenecks and performance tuning.
* Responsible for integrity and security of the database.
* Monitoring performance and managing configuration parameters to provide fast
query responses to front-end users.
* Installation and testing of current databases as well as patching of existing
live databases.
