Legal, Compliance and Privacy Role Job Description

The candidate will be responsible for providing legal, compliance, privacy and
other regulatory support to Cigna Health Solutions India Pvt. Ltd, based in
Bangalore (“Cigna BLR”). This position requires in-office attendance in
Bangalore and shall report to the Head of Legal & Compliance, International
Health Delivery services (“IHDS”).

Key Responsibilities:

* Provide day to day legal assistance to Cigna BLR, working closely with both
the local and wider Cigna International Markets legal, compliance and privacy
teams.
* Co-ordinate with external counsel and monitor spend of allocated legal
budget.
* Advise business units on a broad range of legal, compliance and privacy
matters, including identifying areas of risk and providing guidance to
minimise compliance risks.
* Working closely with the Cigna BLR site lead to foster a culture of
compliance within the organization.
* Participate and assist in any ad-hoc matters and projects as assigned by the
Management or the Head of Legal & Compliance, IHDS (or delegate) to ensure




regulatory requirements are taken into consideration. This will include
providing support to both the Cigna International Markets Privacy and Central
Compliance teams.
* Advise on data protection queries, policies and practices.
* Perform data protection impact assessments and develop a data breach
management plan in the event of breaches.

* Maintain awareness of industry trends on regulatory compliance and emerging
threats. Continuously monitor and review any recent laws and regulations,
including any directives, notices, guidelines, codes, circulars, practice
notes etc. issued by relevant authorities which are relevant to Cigna BLR’s
business and to ensure that the company's practices comply with the
foregoing.
* Coordinate corporate compliance strategy and implementation in cooperation
with Cigna BLR and Cigna International Markets legal and compliance teams.
