To be fully conversant with the Maritime Labour Convention, and in particular the “Seafarer Recruitment and Placement” section to which must be adhered too and followed at all times
• Maintain complete familiarity with the company’s recruitment process, and documentation requirements.
• Identify and recruit the most suitable candidates from a limited global pool of qualified seafarers, ensuring alignment with company recruitment process and selection standards.
• Conduct proactive sourcing activities, including regular communication and follow-ups through job portals and other recruitment channels.
• Regularly update and manage the Company Recruitment Database with information of all contacted seafarers and follow-ups.
• Coordinate and assign appropriate screening assessments and technical interviews for shortlisted candidates, ensuring efficient selection and onboarding processes.
• Coordinate the scheduling of in-house training programs for selected candidates
• Verify the authenticity and validity of all certificates, CDCs, and Certificates of Competency (COCs) for all new joiners
• Conduct comprehensive reference checks on shortlisted candidates to validate skilled background and suitability.
• Keep schedulers from relevant pools informed about the induction status of candidates.
• Undertake additional administrative or office-related duties as may be assigned by the Manager, in line with company policies and procedures
