ROLE OVERVIEW

Based in our Bangalore, India office and reporting directly to the Chief
Technology Officer (CTO), the Senior Backend Engineer will serve as a
foundational pillar of our engineering team. This is a high-impact, hands-on
role requiring a blend of technical mastery and pragmatic leadership.

The ideal candidate possesses a builder’s mindset—someone who thrives in a
quick-paced environment, takes extreme ownership of the codebase, and can mentor
junior engineers while executing complex architectural designs. You aren't just
writing code; you are shaping the technical foundation of a scaling fintech
platform.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

TECHNICAL OVERSIGHT & ARCHITECTURE

* System Design: Design, build,



and scale robust, high-performance
microservices and cloud-native backend systems.

* Database Optimization: Architect and optimize database schemas and queries
across relational (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB, DynamoDB) databases
to handle large-scale data processing.

* API Management: Design and implement highly secure, performant RESTful and
GraphQL APIs for internal and third-party integrations.

EXECUTION & STRATEGY

* Roadmap Alignment: Collaborate closely with the CTO to translate business
requirements and long-term product vision into clean, scalable technical
solutions.

* Security & Compliance: Implement and enforce industry-leading security
practices for authentication, authorization, and data protection.

* DevOps Culture: Establish and mature CI/CD pipelines, containerization
(Docker), and orchestration (Kubernetes) for automated, seamless deployments.
