AIMS Institutes is looking for an enthusiastic and hardworking Commis I to assist in day-to-day kitchen operations and support practical training activities for hospitality students. The role involves food preparation, kitchen setup, maintenance, and adherence to hygiene standards.
Key Responsibilities
Kitchen Preparation
Perform complete food production including preparing ingredients, vegetables, meats, sauces, all North Indian and South Indian dishes.
Help in practical classes and training sessions.
Practical Lab Support
Arrange kitchen stations and equipment before practical classes.
Assist students in understanding basic culinary procedures.
Ensure availability of ingredients and equipment during practical sessions.
Hygiene & Maintenance
Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas, utensils, and equipment.
Follow food safety and hygiene procedures at all times.
Dispose of waste as per institutional guidelines.
Inventory Assistance
Assist in receiving, checking, and storing food supplies.
Support stock-taking and inventory management activities.
Report shortages, damages, or equipment issues to supervisors.
Qualifications
Diploma in Hotel Management / Food Production / Culinary Arts.
5 years of experience in a hotel, restaurant, catering unit, or institutional kitchen.
Skills Required
Multiple Culinary and food preparation.
Knowledge of kitchen hygiene and sanitation.
Ability to work in a quick-paced environment.
Good teamwork and communication.
Willingness to learn and support academic kitchen operations.
