Role & responsibilities

Job Summary

Senior-level consultant responsible for supporting, troubleshooting, and enhancing Oracle Fusion Financials applications. The role acts as a bridge between business users and technical teams, ensuring issue resolution, system stability, and continuous improvements across Finance modules.

Key Responsibilities

1. Application Support & Issue Resolution

- Provide L2/L3 production support for Oracle Fusion Finance modules (GL, AP, AR, FA, CM).
- Analyze, reproduce, and resolve functional and technical issues raised by users.
- Handle incident, problem, and change requests (ITIL aligned).
- Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and ensure permanent fixes.

2. Functional & Techno-Functional Activities

- Act as a bridge between finance business users and technical teams.
- Translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications.
- Configure and maintain finance setups:
- Chart of Accounts
- Ledgers & Sub-ledgers
- Approval workflows & security

3. Finance Module Expertise

- Provide strong functional expertise in:
- General Ledger (GL)
- Accounts Payable (AP)
- Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Fixed Assets (FA)
- Cash Management (CM)
- Support core finance business flows:
- Procure-to-Pay (P2P)
- Order-to-Cash (O2C)
- Record-to-Report (R2R)

4. Technical Support & Integrations

- Work on:
- Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC)
- REST/SOAP APIs
- FBDI/ADFDI data loads
- Support and troubleshoot:
- BI Publisher reports
- OTBI analytics
- SQL-based data issues

5. Testing & Release Management

- Support SIT, UAT, and regression testing cycles.
- Validate quarterly Oracle patches/updates and assesses impact.
- Deploy fixes and enhancements with minimal business disruption.

6. User Support & Training

- Provide end-user support, training, and knowledge transfer.




- Develop user guides and troubleshooting documentation.
- Act as primary contact for escalations.

7. Continuous Improvement

- Identify process gaps and recommend automation or optimization opportunities.
- Maintain documentation for configurations, issues, and solutions.
- Ensure compliance with audit and financial controls.

Required Skills & Experience

Experience

- 712+ years in Oracle ERP Financials
- 4+ years in Oracle Fusion Financials (Support or Implementation)
- Experience in support projects (AMS / Managed Services)

Functional Skills

- Strong knowledge of finance processes and accounting principles
- Hands-on experience in GL, AP, AR, FA, CM modules
- Experience in configuration, setups, and troubleshooting

Technical Skills

- SQL / PL-SQL (for troubleshooting and reporting)
- OIC integrations / Web Services (REST/SOAP)
- Reporting tools:
- OTBI
- BI Publisher
- Smart View

Process Knowledge

- ITIL processes (Incident, Problem, Change)
- Oracle quarterly patching cycles
- Data migration concepts (FBDI/ADFDI)

Soft Skills

- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent communication with business stakeholders
- Ability to handle critical production issues independently
- Customer-focused mindset

Preferred Qualifications

- Oracle Fusion Financials Certification
- Experience in multi-org / multi-currency environments
- Exposure to Oracle EBS or cross-module integrations
