About the Role

Ion Exchange (India) Ltd. is seeking highly motivated, innovative, and research-oriented professionals to join its Membrane Technologies R&D; team at Patancheru, Hyderabad. The selected candidate will contribute to the development of advanced ion-exchange membranes, electrochemical systems, electrolyzers, and hydrogen generation technologies for applications in water treatment, clean energy, and sustainability.

This role provides an excellent chance to work on cutting-edge membrane materials, electrochemical processes, electro dialysis systems, hydrogen production technologies, and next-generation separation solutions.

Educational Qualification

M.Sc. in:

- Chemistry
- Polymer Science
- Materials Science
- Electrochemistry
- Chemical Sciences

OR

M.Tech. in:

- Chemical Engineering
- Polymer Engineering
- Materials Engineering

Experience:

- Freshers with relevant academic projects are encouraged to apply.
- Candidates with 0-3 years of industrial or research experience will be preferred.
- Preferred Technical Skills

Membrane Technology

- Ion Exchange Membrane (IEM) synthesis and fabrication
- Anion Exchange Membranes (AEM)
- Cation Exchange Membranes (CEM)
- Bipolar Membranes (BPM)
- Membrane casting, coating, and surface modification
- Membrane characterization and performance evaluation

Electrochemistry & Hydrogen Technologies





- Electrochemical testing and analysis
- Water electrolysis and hydrogen generation
- AEM electrolyzer operation and performance evaluation
- Membrane Electrode Assembly (MEA) fabrication and testing
- Electrode design and interface engineering
- Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy (EIS)
- Cyclic Voltammetry (CV)
- Potentiostat/Galvanostat operation

Materials Synthesis & Characterization

- Polymer synthesis and functionalization
- Nanomaterial synthesis
- Material characterization using:
- FTIR
- SEM
- TGA
- DSC
- XRD
- UV-Visible Spectroscopy
- Particle Size Analysis

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and synthesize advanced membrane materials for water treatment and electrochemical applications.
- Fabricate, optimize, and evaluate Membrane Electrode Assemblies (MEAs).
- Conduct electrochemical experiments and analyze performance data.
- Perform membrane characterization, testing, and quality assessment.
- Support the development of electrolyzer, electrodialysis, and electro-membrane technologies.
- Design experiments and interpret scientific results for process and product improvement.
- Maintain laboratory records, experimental data, and technical documentation.
- Prepare technical reports, presentations,



and research summaries.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for product development and scale-up activities.
- Contribute to patent drafting, intellectual property generation, and scientific publications.
