Role & responsibilities:-
- Perform and assist with diagnostic imaging procedures across X-Ray, CT and MRI modalities as per established protocols.
- Operate imaging equipment safely and efficiently while maintaining required image quality.
- Prepare patients for examinations, explain procedures and ensure proper positioning and comfort.
- Verify patient identity, examination details and relevant clinical information before performing procedures.
- Follow appropriate radiation safety protocols for X-Ray and CT examinations.
- Follow MRI safety protocols, including screening patients for implants, metallic objects and other contraindications.
- Ensure correct positioning and acquisition of diagnostic-quality images.
- Assist radiologists and senior technologists during specialized or contrast-enhanced examinations as required.
- Maintain proper patient records, examination documentation and imaging data.
- Ensure timely transfer and storage of images through PACS/RIS and related systems.
- Perform routine equipment checks and report equipment faults or abnormalities promptly.
- Maintain cleanliness, hygiene and infection-control standards in the imaging areas.
- Monitor and maintain adequate availability of consumables and accessories required for examinations.
- Handle patients professionally, including elderly, pediatric, emergency and critically ill patients.
- Coordinate effectively with radiologists, nursing staff,
clinicians and other hospital departments.
- Adhere to hospital policies, departmental SOPs, quality standards and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in quality assurance and continuous improvement activities within the Radiology Department.
Preferred candidate profile:-
- Experience:- 1 - 6 years.
- Qualification:- B.Sc. Radiology / B.Sc. Medical Imaging Technology / Diploma in Radiology & Imaging Technology or equivalent
- Hands-on experience in X-Ray, CT Scan and MRI.
- Knowledge of radiographic positioning and imaging techniques.
- CT scan protocols and patient positioning.
- MRI procedures and MRI safety screening.
- Radiation protection and safety practices.
- Knowledge of contrast-enhanced imaging procedures.
- PACS / RIS and digital imaging systems.
- Patient handling and communication skills.
- Ability to manage emergency and critical-care patients.
- Knowledge of infection-control practices.
- Equipment handling and basic troubleshooting.
- Positive understanding of departmental SOPs and quality standards.
- Attention to detail and image-quality assessment.
- Teamwork and coordination with radiologists and clinical staff.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work in shifts, including weekends/rotational duties when required.
- Immediate joiners will be given preference.
