About the Role

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Architectural Draughtsman to join our architectural team in Chennai. The candidate will be responsible for developing accurate architectural drawings from design concepts through working and construction documentation, while coordinating with architects, consultants and site teams.

Key Responsibilities

* Prepare detailed 2D architectural drawings using AutoCAD.

* Develop plans, elevations, sections, working drawings and architectural details.

* Convert architectural concepts and sketches into accurate technical drawings.

* Prepare construction and execution drawings with proper dimensions, levels and annotations.

* Prepare door/window schedules, toilet details, staircase details and other architectural details.

* Coordinate architectural drawings with structural, electrical, plumbing and other consultants.

* Incorporate revisions based on architect/client/site requirements.

* Conduct or assist with site measurements and update drawings according to actual site conditions.

* Maintain proper drawing standards, layer management, title blocks and revision records.

* Ensure drawings are accurate, coordinated and issued within project deadlines.

* Assist architects during project execution by resolving drawing-related queries.

* Understand basic construction methods, materials and architectural detailing.

* Prepare drawings suitable for CMDA / Corporation / DTCP approval submissions when required.

Required Skills

Essential:

* Excellent working knowledge of AutoCAD.





* Good understanding of architectural drawings and construction details.

* Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings.

* Strong attention to dimensions, scale and detailing.

* Good knowledge of building construction and materials.

* Ability to work independently as well as with an architectural team.

Added Advantage:

* Knowledge of Autodesk Revit / BIM.

* SketchUp knowledge.

* Familiarity with CMDA / DTCP regulations and approval drawings.

* Experience in residential villas, apartments and commercial projects.

* Basic knowledge of quantity take-off and BOQ preparation.

Qualification

* Diploma / Degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Architectural Drafting or a related field.

* 3–5 years of relevant experience preferred.
