About Simbus Technologies
Simbus Technologies is an authorized Kinaxis Value-Added Reseller and implementation partner. We design and implement Kinaxis Maestro (Planning One, S&OP; Foundation and industry packages) for global manufacturers operating complex, multi-plant supply chains — across make-to-order and engineer-to-order environments as well as make-to-stock businesses such as CPG. Our engagements span the full lifecycle — discovery, process and solution design, configuration, data integration, testing, training, go-live and hypercare — delivered through RapidValue, Simbus's implementation methodology built on the Kinaxis RapidStart deployment approach.
Simbus is transforming itself into an AI-native organization. We apply AI across our delivery lifecycle to raise the quality, speed and consistency of everything we produce — and we expect every consultant to work the same way.
The Role
We hire for depth of supply chain planning domain expertise first; Kinaxis product skills we will build. As Senior Solution Consultant, you own the functional spine of our implementations — understanding how a client actually plans today, designing how they should plan tomorrow, and making the configured solution tell that story end to end. You will operate as the trusted planning expert in the room: with client planners on the shop floor, and with CXO sponsors in steering committees.
What You Will Do
1. Discovery & Business Understanding
- Lead structured discovery across the end-to-end planning value chain: demand planning, supply planning and plant allocation, raw material planning, inventory planning, order promising / inside-sales review, and S&OP.;
- Facilitate multi-day discovery workshops with planners, functional leads and leadership teams; capture as-is processes, decision rules, pain points and data realities with precision.
- Conduct plant and shop-floor visits: translate physical manufacturing realities — bottleneck stages, routings and recipes, changeovers and yields, make-versus-outsource decisions,
supplier constraints — into planning model requirements.
- Run disciplined fit/gap classification of every requirement (standard configuration vs. extended configuration vs. customization vs. add-on product) and hold those lines with the client.
2. Process & Solution Design
- Author business requirements and decision-architecture documentation that serves as the single source of truth for design and build.
- Design to-be end-to-end planning processes (monthly S&OP; cadence with weekly and daily planning layers) as layered process flows (Level 0 Level 2), anchored to contracted scope.
- Design core planning constructs: forecast consumption and demand-prioritization rules; sourcing and allocation hierarchies (regulatory capability capacity cost); rough-cut and constraint-based capacity models; safety-stock and inventory policies; ATP/CTP-based order promising; and scenario-driven decision frameworks.
3. Solution Playback & Validation
- Build end-to-end solution playback narratives on client sample data — detailed, step-by-step scripts that walk client teams through their future process in the live system.
- Partner with solution architects and configuration consultants to stage playback environments and validate configured capability against signed-off requirements.
4. Client Enablement & Adoption
- Deliver process-centric training (demand planning, supply planning, S&OP; concepts and system orientation) to prepare client planner communities for discovery, UAT and adoption.
- Coach client teams through the transition from spreadsheet-based planning to concurrent, scenario-driven planning.
5. Engagement Governance
- Drive weekly operating reviews and contribute to monthly steering committees with client executive sponsors; own decision logs, open-points tracking and design sign-offs.
- Protect scope and commercial discipline: anchor commitments to the statement of work and frame extensions as scoped change requests.
6. Practice & Pre-Sales Contribution
- Contribute to RFP responses, technical proposals, solution demonstrations and effort estimation.
- Codify engagement learnings into reusable playbooks, accelerators and reference assets for the growing Kinaxis practice.
7. AI-Enabled Ways of Working
- Work AI-natively: use AI tools across the engagement lifecycle — discovery synthesis, requirements documentation, process design, playback assets and analysis — to measurably improve the quality and speed of your output.
- Contribute to Simbus's transformation into an AI-native organization: adopt, refine and champion AI-enabled delivery practices within the practice.
What We Are Looking For
Must-Have
- 6–10 years of hands-on supply chain planning experience,
in industry planning roles, consulting, or both.
- Deep expertise in Supply Planning and Capacity Planning: MPS/MRP, rough-cut and finite / constraint-based capacity planning, multi-plant sourcing and allocation, BOM explosion, pegging, lot sizing, time fences and lead-time design.
- Hands-on S&OP; / IBP experience: running or anchoring monthly S&OP; / IBP cycles — demand review, supply review, pre-S&OP; reconciliation and executive S&OP; — as a planner, process owner or consultant.
- Strong command of adjacent planning domains: demand planning and forecast consumption, inventory and safety-stock policy design, and order promising (ATP/CTP).
- Strong experience as a hands-on user of digital supply chain planning tools, or direct involvement in digital supply chain transformation programs within your organization.
- AI fluency: conversant with modern AI tools and comfortable using AI day-to-day to improve the quality of analysis and deliverables.
- Manufacturing depth in multi-plant environments — make-to-order / engineer-to-order and make-to-stock (e.g., CPG) alike; genuine comfort on the shop floor.
- A consultant's toolkit: workshop facilitation, executive-level communication, structured documentation, and sound fit/gap judgement.
- MBA / PGDM or B.Tech / M.Tech with specialization in Operations & Supply Chain Management from a premier management or engineering institute such as an IIM, IIT or NIT; IIM Mumbai (erstwhile NITIE) strongly preferred.
Kinaxis Experience — Not Required
Prior Kinaxis experience is not a prerequisite for this role. As an authorized Kinaxis partner, Simbus will invest in your Kinaxis Maestro training and certification. Exposure to any advanced planning system (SAP APO / IBP, o9, Blue Yonder, OMP, Anaplan, Kinaxis) is an advantage, not a requirement.
Preferred
- ASCM / APICS certification (CPIM, CSCP) or equivalent.
- Familiarity with ERP planning data structures (e.g., SAP ECC / S/4HANA) and CRM-driven demand signals (e.g., Salesforce opportunities).
- Robust data orientation: Excel modelling, and comfort working with structured data extracts and staged data drops.
Location & Travel
This is a remote, India-based position. The role requires travel to customer sites for project delivery — discovery and design workshops, plant visits, key design sign-offs, go-live and hypercare support. Travel intensity varies by project phase and can be substantial during discovery and go-live windows.
What Simbus Offers
- A Great Place to Work® certified organization, with a strong emphasis on work-life balance and continuous learning.
- Sponsored Kinaxis training and a structured certification pathway.
- A senior, high-visibility role in a fast-growing Kinaxis practice, with direct access to leadership.
- End-to-end engagement exposure — from pre-sales through go-live — on global manufacturing programs.
- A remote-first working model with meaningful client-site engagement.
