Mandatory Skills

- Minimum 8+ years of IT infrastructure/platform administration experience.
- Minimum 6+ years of hands-on experience with Kubernetes administration.
- Hands-on experience with OpenShift and/or Rancher.
- Strong Linux administration (RHEL/CentOS/Ubuntu/Windows).
- Experience deploying and managing production-grade Kubernetes clusters.
- Containerization using Docker or OCI-compliant runtimes.
- Kubernetes cluster installation, upgrades, scaling, and lifecycle management.
- High Availability (HA) cluster architecture and disaster recovery.
- Networking concepts including Ingress, Services, CNI, Load Balancers, Network Policies, DNS, and Service Mesh.
- Storage management using CSI, Persistent Volumes (PV), Persistent Volume Claims (PVC), Storage Classes, and agile provisioning.
- RBAC, Identity Management, Secrets Management, TLS/SSL, and Kubernetes security hardening.
- Monitoring using Prometheus, Grafana, Alertmanager, and logging with EFK/ELK or OpenSearch.
- Automation using Ansible, Helm, Kustomize, Terraform, or GitOps tools.
- Strong troubleshooting skills for production environments.

Responsibilities

- Design, deploy, administer, and maintain Kubernetes clusters.
- Install and manage OpenShift and/or Rancher platforms.
- Perform Kubernetes version upgrades and cluster lifecycle management.
- Configure namespaces, RBAC, quotas, policies, and multi-tenancy.
- Deploy and manage applications using Helm Charts and Operators.
- Configure networking, ingress controllers, service mesh, and load balancing.
- Implement backup and disaster recovery strategies for Kubernetes clusters.
- Monitor cluster health, capacity, and performance.
- Troubleshoot cluster, networking, storage, and application deployment issues.
- Implement Kubernetes security best practices and compliance standards.
- Automate cluster provisioning and operational tasks.




- Work with DevOps, Security, Infrastructure, and Application teams for platform integration.
- Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for production incidents.
- Create architecture documents, SOPs, operational runbooks, and technical documentation.
- Mentor L1/L2 engineers and provide technical guidance.
- Participate in 24x7 production support and on-call rotation.

Educational Qualification

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
