Lead the design, assembly, and testing of hydraulic fixtures for machining Gravity Die Casting (GDC) aluminium components on VMC machines.
Key Responsibilities
- Fixture Design: Create 3D/2D models and BOMs for hydraulic fixtures in any software accounting for GDC casting variations and draft angles.
- Hydraulics Integration: Size cylinders, calculate clamping forces, and design manifold blocks with swing clamps and auto-couplers.
- Manufacturing & Prove-Out: Supervise tool room fabrication and lead on-machine trials with VMC programmers to fix vibration, ensure chip clearance, and achieve CMM clearance.
Key Requirements
- Experience: 5–10 years in hydraulic fixture design for GDC aluminium machining on VMCs.
- Education: Diploma or B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical/Tool/Production Engineering.
- Technical Skills: 3-2-1 locating for raw castings, zero-point clamping, GD&T;, and hydraulic circuit design.
