Job Description

We are looking for a Sr. Engineer Wiring Harness to join its R&D; team in Bangalore. The candidate will be responsible for end-to-end wiring harness design and development, including schematic creation, routing, packaging, component selection, BOM preparation, documentation, and coordination with customers and cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and develop wiring harness products as per customer requirements and specifications.
- Handle end-to-end harness design, including schematic creation, routing, packaging, and documentation.
- Understand customer requirements and independently handle assigned projects.
- Perform component selection, equivalent component identification, BOM breakdown, and process breakdown.
- Understand customer engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
- Work with wires, terminals, connectors, and other wiring harness components.
- Perform process time calculation and support harness assembly process development.
- Develop and work with routing boards and jigs.
- Support harness electrical testing and product certification requirements.




- Conduct risk analysis based on customer and CFT inputs.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams for technical feasibility and DFM.
- Support RFQ activities and ensure timely submission of clarifications to customers.
- Handle ECN changes and process implementation.
- Support CFT activities and sample development.
- Coordinate material follow-up and BOM creation in SAP.
- Ensure drawing readiness with minimum iterations and corrections.
- Support FA sample development and continual improvement activities.
- Support RM cost validation and product/process audits.

Mandatory Skills

- Robust experience in Wiring Harness Product Design & Development.
- Good knowledge of wires, terminals, connectors, and harness components.
- Hands-on experience with CADD tools NX, Creo, CATIA, SolidWorks.
- Knowledge of Harness 3D Routing.
- Good understanding of wiring harness manufacturing and assembly processes.
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and customer documents.
- Good communication and customer interaction skills.
