Role & responsibilities:
- Prepare and review daily journal entries, cash reports, and account reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and promptly escalating any discrepancies.
- Assist in the preparation and review of quarterly and annual financial reporting packages, financial statements, supporting schedules, and related documentation.
- Prepare, review, and coordinate capital call and distribution calculations, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance before management approval.
- Coordinate the preparation and delivery of capital call and distribution notices, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and transparent communication with investors.
- Assist in preparing and reviewing management fee calculations, distribution waterfalls, carried interest calculations, and other fund allocation schedules.
- Manage investor portals by uploading, organizing, maintaining, and distributing investor documents in a timely and accurate manner.
- Support internal and external audit requests by preparing schedules, reconciliations,
financial reports, and supporting documentation.
- Take ownership of assigned projects, working independently with minimal supervision while ensuring high-quality deliverables.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and management to meet deadlines, resolve issues, and maintain compliance with established procedures.
- Mentor Associates by providing technical guidance, sharing best practices, and supporting adherence to internal policies and firm processes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience, preferably in private equity fund accounting or fund administration.
- Knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS and private equity fund accounting principles.
- Willingness to support occasional travel (up to 5%) and additional projects as required
