Job Summary

The Director/ Regional Head of Product Engineering for Data Content, a product line that comprises a large number of interrelated, business-critical capabilities and applications. You will be responsible for helping to build our agile organization by aligning to a culture of continuous improvement, partnership, trust and sharing. You will lead DC India staff of software engineers and partner with your Product Management and Quality peers to support a large, global group of agile scrum teams. Retaining and attracting high performing talent and driving measurable business value is a passion.

In partnership with Product Management and Quality Assurance, Other regional leadership in Orion, your team shares a common mission to create products that satisfy our users. Your team will enable product engineering teams, promises engineering excellence and deliver high-quality end product.

The Impact

The primary products for this product line include the content publishing systems that we use do distribute our high-quality market intelligence in the form of credit ratings, research, and thought leadership. These products are backed by a series of carefully curated enterprise data stores, data services, data analytics and business intelligence products platforms that collectively support our global ratings business create publish world class ratings, research and related content across more than 90 global economies.

Responsibilities

- Support and foster a quality-first, agile culture that is built on partnership, trust and sharing
- Build, coach and develop a large team of experienced engineers to successfully execute the role by developing their careers and skills
- Learning and understanding all aspects of your product-line and the Ratings business
- Responsible for helping define the vision, driving team execution, and overseeing the engineering process. This will require strong leadership capabilities, as well as the ability to roll-up-your-sleeves to ensure alignment across technology, product and business stakeholders
- Be technically deep and provide input on architecture, design and code. As a thought leader, you are well respected by engineers and non-engineers alike
- Drive solid partnerships between engineering teams and Product owners, including business stakeholders in the Ratings organization




- Accelerate alignment to Ratings Data Fabric by guiding engineering teams to derive in-line transformation of our legacy data platforms
- Accelerate adaption of ELT and schema on read architectures to achieve speed to market for internal and external products
- Design and implement strategies to monitor the effectiveness of data management and governance programs and identify, manage and mitigate current and emerging risks
- Drive innovation towards building highly scalable real time data engineering pipelines and data distribution solutions leveraging AI/ML
- Partner with product management and stakeholders to define the roadmaps, plan and report on technical programs that cut across the entire organization
- In partnership with PMO and operations teams, drive and mature release management, scaled agile, consistent metrics and efficient processes
- Step up and lead the resolution of dependencies, impediments, and risks for executing Strategic Priorities across Orion teams
- Resolving all operational challenges across DC Orion scrum teams and building strong leadership pipeline by having better collaboration with the Heads of, SLs and other regional Leaders.

Basic Qualifications
- B.Tech degree in Computer Science or Information Technology
- 13+ years of software engineering experience with 8+ years architecting content publishing products, modern data stacks, and analytics platforms at enterprise scale
- 8+ years hands-on experience designing application architectures, enterprise integration patterns, and full-stack solutions including modern distributed front-end and back-end technology stacks
- 5+ years architecting and leading development of production-grade microservices platforms using Java/Spring Boot in cloud-native environments (Kubernetes, Docker), with proven experience designing API-first architectures, event-driven systems (Kafka, messaging queues), and managing transactional consistency across distributed services at enterprise scale
- 5+ years leading and mentoring engineering teams (5-15+ engineers)



with demonstrated ability to build consensus across distributed teams, define technical roadmaps, drive architectural decisions, and balance rapid delivery with long-term platform sustainability in a fast-paced environment
- 5+ years full-stack development experience with Java, modern web technologies, and AWS cloud-based data platforms (S3, Redshift, EMR, Hive, Spark); proficiency in Python, Scala, REST APIs, SQL, and relational databases
- Deep experience designing and implementing transactional systems, data warehouses, data lakes, and data integrations using MPP databases and big data ecosystems with AWS cloud technologies; proven track record delivering Business Intelligence and advanced analytics solutions for data-driven products
- Quality-first mindset with demonstrated experience developing and operating products for global audiences at scale
- Excellent analytical thinking, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills with strong ability to influence both IT and business stakeholders
- Financial services industry experience

Preferred Qualifications
- Expert in cloud-native development, CI/CD pipelines, and modern design patterns (12-factor apps, microservices, containerization) with hands-on experience building and operating production systems in AWS using Kubernetes, serverless, and cloud-native architectures
- Strong experience leading Agile/XP programs at scale with ability to prioritize work against critical timelines, promote continuous improvement, and deliver in fast-paced environments
- Experience in data management processes including data security, compliance, audit, data quality, governance, cataloging, and Master Data Management (MDM) functions
- Proven ability to lead implementation of enterprise data and content strategy roadmaps, including data architecture design, data management at scale, digital content platforms, and advanced analytics systems
- Experience with open source technologies and distributed software development
- Current knowledge of technology and industry trends with demonstrated ability to develop and present substantive technical recommendations to senior management and influence organizational decisions
- Experience in React JS
