Role & responsibilities

- Responsible for implementing and monitoring all EHS activities at the Data Center construction site in compliance with company, client, and statutory safety requirements.
- Conduct regular site safety inspections to identify hazards, unsafe acts, and unsafe conditions, and ensure timely corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with Permit to Work (PTW) systems for high-risk activities such as work at height, hot work, electrical work, lifting operations, and confined space entry.
- Monitor electrical installation activities, including transformers, switchgear, UPS systems, battery banks, DG sets, cable laying, and testing & commissioning works.
- Ensure proper implementation of Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures during electrical isolation and maintenance activities.
- Supervise work at height activities and ensure the use of certified scaffolding, fall protection systems, and full-body safety harnesses with 100% tie-off.
- Monitor lifting and rigging operations, verify lifting plans, and ensure protected handling and installation of critical equipment.
- Conduct daily toolbox talks, safety inductions,



and awareness programs to promote a positive safety culture among employees and contractors.
- Investigate incidents, near misses, and unsafe occurrences, and implement corrective and preventive actions to prevent recurrence.
- Ensure proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and maintain compliance with project safety standards.
- Coordinate emergency preparedness activities, fire prevention measures, mock drills, and evacuation procedures.
- Prepare and maintain safety documentation, inspection reports, audit reports, PTW records, training records, and monthly EHS statistics.
- Participate in client safety meetings and support continuous improvement initiatives to achieve project safety objectives.
- Ensure proper housekeeping, waste management, and environmental compliance throughout the project duration.
- Promote a Zero Harm culture by encouraging safe work practices and proactive hazard reporting across all project activities.
