About the Role

We are looking for a skilled Mechanical Engineer to manage and supervise HVAC project execution at site. The candidate will be responsible for HVAC installation, site coordination, contractor management, quality control, testing & commissioning, project documentation, and ensuring that work is completed safely, efficiently, and as per approved drawings and project specifications.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in HVAC project execution and site management and should be capable of independently handling HVAC activities at project sites.

Key Responsibilities

1. HVAC Project Execution

- Plan, supervise, and monitor day-to-day HVAC installation and execution activities at site.
- Ensure HVAC work is carried out as per approved drawings, specifications, method statements, and project schedules.
- Monitor installation of HVAC systems including AHU, FCU, Chillers, Pumps, Cooling Towers, VRF/VRV, Package Units, ventilation and exhaust systems.
- Supervise installation of ducting, chilled water piping, refrigerant piping, insulation, supports, valves and associated HVAC equipment.
- Coordinate with site teams to ensure timely completion of HVAC activities.

2. Site Supervision & Coordination

- Supervise HVAC technicians, supervisors, subcontractors, and installation teams.
- Coordinate HVAC activities with Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Fighting, Civil, Structural and Architectural teams.
- Resolve site-level technical issues and coordinate with the design/consultant team where required.
- Conduct regular site inspections and monitor work progress.
- Identify clashes, installation constraints, and execution issues and ensure timely resolution.

3. Contractor & Vendor Management

- Coordinate with HVAC subcontractors and vendors for manpower, materials, equipment and installation activities.
- Verify contractor work and ensure compliance with approved drawings and specifications.
- Monitor contractor productivity and workmanship.
- Coordinate material deliveries and ensure materials are available as per project requirements.
- Assist in technical evaluation of HVAC equipment and materials.

4. Quality Control

- Ensure HVAC installation complies with approved drawings, project specifications, standards,



and quality requirements.
- Inspect ducting, piping, insulation, supports, equipment installation and other HVAC works.
- Check installation quality before inspection by consultants/clients.
- Prepare and close snag lists, punch points and inspection observations.
- Coordinate with QA/QC teams for inspections and documentation.

5. Testing & Commissioning

- Coordinate and supervise HVAC testing, commissioning and balancing activities.
- Assist in testing of HVAC equipment, ducting and piping systems.
- Coordinate pressure testing, flushing, leakage testing, air balancing and water balancing.
- Support functional testing of AHUs, FCUs, chillers, pumps, VRF/VRV and ventilation systems.
- Ensure commissioning activities are completed as per approved procedures and project requirements.

6. Project Planning & Progress Monitoring

- Monitor daily and weekly HVAC work progress against project schedules.
- Prepare daily/weekly progress reports.
- Coordinate with the Project Manager regarding manpower, material and execution requirements.
- Identify delays and provide practical solutions to maintain project timelines.
- Assist in planning manpower and resources for HVAC activities.

7. Drawings & Technical Documentation

- Read and interpret HVAC shop drawings, coordinated MEP drawings, equipment drawings and specifications.
- Verify that site installation matches approved drawings.
- Coordinate drawing revisions and communicate changes to site teams.
- Maintain site records, inspection reports, test reports and commissioning documentation.
- Assist in preparation of as-built drawings based on actual site installation.

8. Quantity & Material Management

- Verify HVAC material quantities required for site execution.
- Check material received at site against approved specifications and purchase requirements.




- Monitor material consumption and minimize wastage.
- Assist in preparation and verification of BOQ, material requisitions and work measurements.
- Coordinate with procurement and stores teams for timely material availability.

9. Safety & Compliance

- Ensure HVAC activities are carried out in accordance with site HSE and safety procedures.
- Ensure workers use appropriate PPE and follow safe working practices.
- Coordinate with the safety team for work permits and safe execution of activities.
- Immediately report unsafe conditions and take corrective action.

- Strong knowledge of HVAC installation and project execution.

- Ability to read HVAC and MEP drawings.
- Knowledge of HVAC installation standards and good engineering practices.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD for drawing review and basic modifications is preferred.
- Knowledge of MS Excel and project documentation.
- Understanding of BOQ, quantity measurement and material requirements.

Education

- B.Tech / B.E. in Mechanical Engineering preferred.
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with strong relevant HVAC experience may also be considered.

Experience

- 37 years of relevant HVAC/MEP project execution experience.
- Experience in commercial buildings, high-rise buildings, hospitals, hotels, malls, industrial projects, data centers or large infrastructure projects will be preferred.
- Candidates with hands-on experience in HVAC installation, testing and commissioning will be given preference.bilities

The ideal candidate should be a hands-on HVAC Mechanical Engineer with solid site execution experience and practical knowledge of HVAC installation, project coordination, testing and commissioning. The candidate should be comfortable working with contractors, consultants, vendors and multidisciplinary site teams and should be capable of taking responsibility for HVAC activities from installation through commissioning and handover.
