Job description:
Job Overview: An Accountant specializing in Tally and GST is responsible for managing day-to-day accounting tasks, ensuring compliance with Goods and Services Tax (GST) regulations, and maintaining accurate financial records using Tally software. This role includes preparing financial statements, processing transactions, managing tax filings, and performing reconciliations.
Key Responsibilities:
Tally Accounting & Bookkeeping: Manage and update financial transactions in Tally software, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries. Process and record invoices, receipts, payments, and journal entries in Tally. Maintain and reconcile bank accounts, petty cash, and other financial ledgers in Tally.
GST Compliance & Filing: Ensure accurate GST calculation, filing, and payment in compliance with government regulations. Prepare and file monthly, quarterly, and annual GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9, etc.). Maintain records of GST payments and ensure timely submission of GST-related forms. Reconcile GST payments and input/output tax claims.
Taxation: Assist in the preparation of Income Tax returns and other statutory filings related to tax. Calculate and prepare tax liabilities (TDS, GST, etc.) in compliance with the applicable laws.
Handle queries and provide necessary documentation for GST audits and assessments.
Account Reconciliation: Reconcile accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger in Tally and other systems. Regularly verify and reconcile GST ledgers with the accounting records. Identify discrepancies, resolve them, and ensure accuracy in financial data.
Financial Reporting: Prepare and generate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports using Tally (Balance Sheet, Profit and Loss, Cash Flow). Provide accurate financial analysis to management for decision-making. Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial projections.
Internal Controls & Compliance: Ensure adherence to internal financial controls and policies. Monitor and report on the company’s financial transactions to ensure they meet regulatory standards. Support audits and tax assessments by providing necessary documentation and data.
General Accounting Support: Handle day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring proper recordkeeping of financial transactions. Provide accounting support for month-end and year-end closing procedures. Assist in managing and organizing financial documents and files for easy retrieval.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
