Job Summary

We are looking for a passionate and hardworking Pizzaiolo / Trainee Pizzaiolo to join our kitchen team. The role is responsible for preparing and baking high-quality pizzas while maintaining consistency, hygiene, and presentation standards.

For candidates with limited experience, the Trainee Pizzaiolo position provides hands-on training in pizza preparation, dough handling, oven operation, and kitchen standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare pizza dough according to the restaurant's recipes and standards.
- Handle dough through mixing, portioning, proofing, stretching, and shaping.
- Prepare pizza sauces, toppings, and garnishes.
- Assemble pizzas accurately according to standard recipes and portion sizes.
- Operate pizza ovens safely and maintain the required cooking temperature.
- Monitor cooking times to ensure consistent quality.
- Maintain proper presentation, taste, texture, and portion control.
- Prepare and organize the pizza station before, during, and after service.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the workstation, equipment, and kitchen.
- Ensure proper storage and rotation of ingredients using FIFO procedures.
- Check the quality and freshness of ingredients before use.
- Minimize food waste and maintain proper portion control.
- Follow food safety, hygiene, and workplace safety procedures.
- Assist the kitchen team with general preparation and service duties when required.
- Support opening and closing duties of the pizza station.

Additional Responsibilities — Trainee Pizzaiolo





- Learn pizza-making techniques under the supervision of the senior Pizzaiolo or Chef.
- Develop skills in dough preparation, stretching, topping, and baking.
- Learn proper use and maintenance of pizza ovens and kitchen equipment.
- Follow recipes, portion standards, and kitchen procedures.
- Progress toward independently managing the pizza station.

RequirementsPizzaiolo

- Previous experience as a Pizzaiolo or in a professional pizza kitchen is preferred.
- Good understanding of dough preparation, fermentation, shaping, and pizza baking.
- Ability to work efficiently during busy service periods.
- Knowledge of food safety and kitchen hygiene standards.
- Strong attention to consistency, quality, and presentation.

Trainee Pizzaiolo

- Previous kitchen or hospitality experience is an advantage but not mandatory.
- Passion for pizza and willingness to learn.
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
- Basic understanding of kitchen hygiene and food safety is preferred.
