Physical Education Teacher

Bharathidhasanar Group of Schools is looking for a passionate and energetic Physical Education Teacher to promote physical fitness, sports participation, teamwork, discipline, and healthy lifestyle habits among students.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct regular Physical Education and sports classes for students.
- Plan and implement age-appropriate physical fitness and sports activities.
- Train students in athletics, team sports, indoor and outdoor games.
- Identify and develop students with sporting potential.
- Prepare students for school, district, state, and national-level competitions.
- Organize Sports Day, inter-house competitions, tournaments, and other sporting events.
- Maintain sports equipment and ensure proper and safe use of facilities.
- Monitor students during sports activities and follow appropriate safety procedures.
- Conduct fitness assessments and maintain student performance records.
- Encourage teamwork, sportsmanship, discipline, leadership, and a positive attitude.
- Support students in developing healthy lifestyle and fitness habits.
- Coordinate with other teachers and school management for sports-related activities.




- Participate actively in school events, meetings, and professional development programmes.

Eligibility

- B.P.Ed. / M.P.Ed. or equivalent qualification
- Minimum 2–3 years of relevant teaching/coaching experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of athletics and various indoor and outdoor sports.
- Experience in training students for competitive sports will be an advantage.
- Good communication, leadership, and classroom management skills.
- Ability to motivate students and manage large groups effectively.
