About the Role

We are looking for a Shopify App Developer with strong backend expertise to build, scale, and maintain public Shopify apps. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with Shopify APIs, GraphQL, Remix, webhooks, authentication, and backend architecture.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and maintain public Shopify apps for merchants globally.
- Build robust backend services using Node.js/Remix and modern JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Work extensively with Shopify GraphQL Admin API and Storefront API.
- Implement OAuth, webhooks, app authentication, billing, and permissions.
- Design scalable APIs and backend architecture for Shopify applications.
- Handle Shopify API rate limits, pagination, retries, error handling, and version upgrades.
- Develop and maintain Shopify app integrations, extensions, and backend workflows.
- Work with databases and ensure effective data modelling and query performance.
- Debug production issues, monitor application performance, and improve reliability.
- Collaborate with frontend developers, QA, product managers, and other technical teams.
- Stay updated with Shopify's latest API versions, platform changes, and app-development standards.

Core Technical Requirements

Must Have:

- 4–8 years of professional development experience.
- Strong hands-on experience in Shopify App Development.




- Experience building or maintaining Public Shopify Apps.
- Strong backend development experience with Node.js.
- Excellent knowledge of GraphQL, particularly Shopify GraphQL Admin API.
- Hands-on experience with Remix for Shopify app development.
- Strong understanding of REST APIs, webhooks, OAuth 2.0, authentication & authorization.
- Experience with Shopify Admin API / Storefront API.
- Good knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Experience working with relational or NoSQL databases.
- Understanding of API security, scalability, and performance optimization.

Good to Have

- Shopify App Bridge & Polaris.
- Shopify Functions / Extensions.
- Shopify Billing API.
- Experience with Shopify CLI.
- Redis / caching.
- AWS or other cloud platforms.
- Docker and CI/CD.
- Experience handling apps published on the Shopify App Store.
- Understanding of Shopify app review and deployment requirements.

Ideal Candidate

We're looking for someone who has built Shopify apps—not just Shopify stores/themes. You should be comfortable owning the backend of a public app, working with Shopify's APIs, handling merchant data and webhooks, and solving production-level technical challenges.

Pay: Up to ₹85,000.00 per month
