Job Description
Baddi Service Station is a 24-hour HPCL fuel retail outlet, part of the Numdeepmala group of businesses. We are looking for a full-time Accountant to take ownership of daily sales reconciliation, stock accounting, tax filing and costing. This is a hands-on role — you will be the person the books run through, not one part of a large team. Suited to someone from a CA firm background who wants to move in-house and run a full set of books end to end.
Key Responsibilities
- Daily Sales Reconciliation — Reconcile nozzle meter readings against cash, card and UPI collections every day, and settle differences with the shift teams.
- Stock Reconciliation — Match tank dip readings against purchases and sales, track shortage and gain, and maintain lubricant stock records.
- Bank Reconciliation — Reconcile all bank accounts, HPCL settlements and card/UPI settlements.
- Tax Filing — File VAT returns on petrol and diesel, and GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, annual return) on lubricants and other non-fuel sales.
- Credit Customer Accounts — Maintain ledgers for credit customers, raise invoices, and follow up on outstanding payments.
- Profit & Loss — Prepare monthly and annual P&L; statements.
- Costing and Cost Analysis — Work out purchase cost, overheads and landed cost, and report where money is going.
- Expense Tracking — Record and categorise all business expenses daily, maintain supporting bills and vouchers, and prepare expense summaries for review.
Requirements
- CA Inter, or CA dropout, or experience working in a CA firm
- Working knowledge of GST returns and the filing portal
- Comfortable with Tally / accounting software and Excel
- Accurate, organised, and able to keep daily records without being chased
- Petrol pump or fuel retail accounting experience is an advantage, not essential

Working Structure
