Job Summary

EritoNXT Consulting is hiring an experienced Purchase Manager for one of our clients in the Manufacturing / Corrugated Box Industry.

We are looking for a candidate with strong experience in procurement, vendor development, commercial negotiations, raw-material sourcing, and cost optimization within a manufacturing environment. Candidates with relevant experience in the corrugated box, paper packaging, printing, paper, or allied industries will be preferred.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage end-to-end procurement and purchasing activities for the manufacturing unit.
- Source and develop reliable vendors for raw materials, consumables, packaging materials, machinery spares, and other production requirements.
- Handle procurement of materials relevant to the corrugated box industry, including kraft paper, test liner, medium paper, adhesives, inks, chemicals, stitching wire, printing consumables, and MRO items, as applicable.
- Negotiate prices, payment terms, delivery schedules, annual contracts, and other commercial terms with vendors.
- Ensure timely availability of materials to avoid production delays or shortages.
- Monitor market trends, commodity prices, and supplier developments to identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Develop alternate vendors to improve pricing, quality, reliability, and supply continuity.
- Maintain robust relationships with key suppliers and regularly evaluate vendor performance.
- Coordinate closely with Production, Stores, Quality, Maintenance, Planning, and Finance teams.
- Maintain appropriate inventory levels while avoiding overstocking and material shortages.
- Review purchase requisitions, purchase orders, pending deliveries, and procurement schedules.
- Drive cost-reduction, value-engineering, and procurement-efficiency initiatives.
- Prepare procurement MIS,



cost-saving reports, vendor performance reports, and market intelligence.
- Ensure proper procurement documentation and adherence to organizational purchasing policies.
- Support and guide the purchase/procurement team wherever required.

Candidate Requirements

- Minimum 8+ years of relevant experience in Purchase / Procurement within a manufacturing environment.
- Candidates with direct exposure to the corrugated box / packaging industry will be strongly preferred.
- Experience in paper, printing, packaging, corrugation, or allied manufacturing industries may also be considered.
- Strong understanding of raw-material procurement and vendor development.
- Excellent negotiation, commercial, and cost-analysis skills.
- Strong vendor-management and relationship-building capabilities.
- Good understanding of inventory planning and manufacturing procurement processes.
- Experience working with ERP systems such as SAP, Tally, or similar platforms will be an advantage.
- Strong analytical, communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively with plant and cross-functional teams.

Qualification

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Commerce, Supply Chain, Materials Management, or a related field.

MBA / PG qualification in Supply Chain, Operations, or Materials Management will be an added advantage.
