- Command and navigate the vessel safely through all waters, adhering to international collision regulations and company procedures.
- Ensure the safety of all personnel on board, including crew, passengers, and visitors, by implementing and enforcing robust safety management systems and emergency procedures.
- Oversee all cargo operations, including loading, stowage, securing, and discharge, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and cargo care best practices.
- Manage and lead the vessel's crew,



fostering a positive work workplace, conducting performance evaluations, and ensuring adequate training and development.
- Maintain the vessel's seaworthiness and operational readiness, overseeing maintenance schedules, inspections, and repairs in coordination with the engineering department.
- Ensure strict compliance with all international, national, and local maritime laws, conventions (e.g., SOLAS, MARPOL, STCW), and company policies.
- Manage the vessel's budget and resources efficiently, optimizing fuel consumption and operational costs without compromising safety or quality.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for port authorities, pilots, agents, and other external stakeholders.
- Handle all administrative duties, including maintaining official logbooks, records, and reports accurately and timely.
- Respond effectively to emergencies, including fire, collision, grounding, man overboard, and medical incidents, taking decisive action to mitigate risks and ensure safety.
