Job Description – HIMS Implementation & Training Support
Position: HIMS Implementation & Training Support Executive
Department: Implementation / Delivery
Industry: Healthcare / Hospital Information Management System (HIMS)
Experience: 2–5 years in HIMS/HIS implementation, hospital operations, or healthcare IT
Location: On-site / Travel to client hospitals as required
Reporting To: Project Manager / Project Head
Job Summary
We are looking for a HIMS Implementation & Training Support Executive responsible for implementing Hospital Information Management Systems at hospitals and healthcare facilities. The role will involve understanding hospital workflows, configuring the HIMS, coordinating with hospital teams, conducting user training, supporting Go-Live, and providing post-implementation support.
The ideal candidate should have a good understanding of hospital operations, HIMS workflows, user training, implementation processes, and client coordination.
Key Responsibilities1. HIMS Implementation
- Coordinate and execute end-to-end HIMS implementation at hospitals.
- Understand existing hospital processes and map them to HIMS workflows.
- Configure masters, users, departments, services, billing, workflows, and other system parameters.
- Coordinate data collection, validation, migration, and system configuration.
- Support integration of HIMS with laboratory equipment, PACS, payment systems, SMS/WhatsApp, and other third-party systems where applicable.
- Ensure implementation activities are completed as per the project plan.
2. Hospital Workflow Understanding
- Understand and document hospital workflows across:
- Patient Registration
- OPD & Appointment Management
- IPD & Admission
- Billing & Payments
- Pharmacy
- Laboratory
- Radiology
- Nursing & Ward Management
- Doctor/Clinical Documentation
- OT Management
- Discharge
- MIS & Reporting
- Identify gaps between existing hospital processes and HIMS workflows.
- Recommend suitable system workflows in coordination with the Project Manager/Product Team.
3. User Training
- Conduct classroom, virtual, and on-site training for hospital users.
- Train doctors, nurses, front-office staff, billing teams, pharmacy staff, laboratory staff, radiology teams, administrators, and other users.
- Prepare training schedules, user manuals, SOPs, and training materials.
- Conduct hands-on demonstrations and practical sessions.
- Evaluate user understanding and provide additional training wherever required.
4. Go-Live Support
- Prepare the hospital team for Go-Live.
- Conduct pre-Go-Live readiness checks.
- Provide on-site support during Go-Live and stabilization.
- Monitor user adoption and resolve operational issues.
- Coordinate with technical/product teams for issues requiring escalation.
5. Post-Implementation Support
- Provide first-level application support to hospital users.
- Track and resolve user issues within defined timelines.
- Maintain implementation issue logs and support trackers.
- Coordinate with development and technical teams for bugs, enhancements, and integrations.
- Conduct refresher training and support sessions when required.
6. Project Coordination & Documentation
- Maintain implementation plans, trackers, meeting minutes, training records, and issue logs.
- Provide regular project status updates to the Project Manager / Project Head.
- Coordinate with hospital management and department heads.
- Track pending requirements, dependencies, and closures.
- Ensure proper documentation and handover after implementation.
Required Skills
- Good understanding of HIMS/HIS hospital workflows.

- Ability to work under project timelines and pressure.

- Willingness to travel to client hospitals.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and basic project tracking tools.
Preferred Experience
Candidates with experience in any of the following will be preferred:
- HIMS/HIS/CMS implementation
- Hospital IT implementation
- Hospital operations
- Healthcare software training
- Hospital workflow analysis
- Go-Live and post-Go-Live support
- PACS/LIS integration
- Hospital billing and pharmacy workflows
- NABH / healthcare process exposure
- PMJAY/HMIS or other healthcare technology platforms
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Successful implementation within agreed timelines.
- Completion of hospital user training.
- User adoption and system utilization.
- Reduction in post-Go-Live support issues.
- Timely resolution/escalation of implementation issues.
- Quality and completeness of implementation documentation.
- Client/hospital satisfaction.
- Successful Go-Live and stabilization of the HIMS.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Healthcare/Hospital Administration, or a related field.
A degree/diploma in Hospital Administration or Healthcare Management with HIMS implementation experience will also be considered.
Ideal Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate is a healthcare technology professional who can bridge the gap between hospital operations and technology. The person should be comfortable working directly with doctors, nurses, administrators, and hospital management, while also coordinating with technical and product teams to ensure successful HIMS implementation and adoption.
Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹22,000.00 per month
