Role Overview
We are looking for a strong Performance Testing Engineer to lead performance, load, stress, and endurance testing efforts across enterprise applications. The ideal candidate combines deep performance engineering expertise with hands-on API testing and UI automation skills, enabling end-to-end quality validation beyond tool execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, script, and execute performance, load, stress, and endurance tests using JMeter and/or LoadRunner.
- Analyze throughput, latency, response time, and TPS metrics to identify system bottlenecks and perform root cause analysis.
- Monitor and diagnose application performance under load, correlating results with system/application architecture behavior.
- Validate REST APIs as part of performance and functional testing engagements, ensuring request/response integrity and correct authentication handling.
- Build and maintain UI automation scripts/frameworks using Selenium WebDriver with TestNG/JUnit and Page Object Model design.
- Write, debug, and enhance automation scripts and frameworks independently using Java (and/or Python).
- Present performance test findings, bottleneck analysis, and automation framework architecture clearly to technical and business stakeholders.
Skills
- Performance Testing & Engineering – Strong hands-on expertise with JMeter and/or LoadRunner to design and execute performance, load, stress, and endurance tests, with deep understanding of throughput, latency,
TPS, bottleneck identification, and root cause analysis.
- API Testing – Solid grasp of REST APIs, HTTP methods, status codes, and authentication mechanisms (OAuth, Bearer Token), with hands-on experience in Postman, REST Assured, and Swagger/OpenAPI for request/response validation.
- UI Automation Testing – Proficient in Selenium WebDriver with TestNG/JUnit, Page Object Model, and data-driven/keyword-driven framework design and best practices.
- Coding/Programming Proficiency – Intermediate-to-strong coding skills in Java (preferred) and/or Python, with the ability to write, debug, and enhance automation scripts and frameworks independently.
- Performance Diagnostics & Root Cause Analysis – Ability to analyze application architecture and system behavior under load, going beyond tool execution to troubleshoot bottlenecks end-to-end.
- Communication & Stakeholder Articulation – Strong ability to explain project experience, framework architecture, testing approach, and troubleshooting analysis clearly (minimum proficiency level 3/5).
