About the Role
OVO Motors is looking for an experienced and responsible Workshop Manager to manage the day-to-day operations of our automobile workshop. The candidate will be responsible for staff management, workshop operations, customer coordination, job monitoring, quality control, and ensuring timely delivery of vehicles.
The ideal candidate should have valuable computer knowledge, basic reporting skills, leadership ability, and practical understanding of automobile workshop operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily workshop operations and ensure smooth workflow.
- Supervise mechanics, technicians, washing staff, painters, helpers, and other workshop employees.
- Prepare and monitor daily staff attendance and work allocation.
- Ensure staff report to work on time and follow workshop discipline.
- Assign jobs to technicians according to workload and skill level.
- Monitor vehicle service, repair, washing, painting, accessories, and other jobs.
- Ensure vehicles are delivered to customers on time.
- Check the quality of completed work before vehicle delivery.
- Coordinate with customers regarding job status, estimates, delays, and delivery.
- Monitor job cards and ensure all work is properly recorded.
- Maintain daily workshop reports, vehicle status, staff performance, and pending-job reports.
- Monitor workshop equipment, tools, air compressor, washing equipment, and other machinery.
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of workshop tools and equipment.
- Control wastage of materials, consumables, and spare parts.
- Coordinate with the service advisor, technicians, painters, accessories team, and management.
- Handle customer complaints and resolve workshop-related issues professionally.
- Maintain cleanliness, safety,
and discipline inside the workshop.
- Track pending vehicles and ensure there are no unnecessary delays.
- Monitor staff productivity and identify performance issues.
- Support management in achieving workshop revenue and customer satisfaction targets.
Computer & Reporting Skills
The candidate must have basic to mid-level computer knowledge, including:
- MS Excel / Google Sheets
- MS Word
- Email and WhatsApp communication
- Basic data entry and reporting
- Job card / workshop management software, if applicable
- Preparing daily and monthly workshop reports
- Maintaining attendance and staff performance records

Preferred Candidate
- Experience in an automobile workshop, service center, dealership, or garage.
- Experience managing a team of mechanics/technicians.
- Practical knowledge of car servicing, repair, washing, painting, accessories, or insurance/claim work will be an advantage.
- Should be responsible, punctual, disciplined, and target-oriented.
