JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a skilled, charismatic Bartender to join Paradise Lounge Bar at Hotel Le Royal Park. The successful candidate will craft exceptional cocktails, provide memorable hospitality to our guests, and maintain the highest standards of quality, service, and safety in our upscale hotel lounge bar.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Beverage Preparation:

- Prepare and serve high-quality cocktails, spirits, wines, beers, and Non-Alcoholic Beverages
- Mix classic and signature cocktails with precision and creativity
- Measure ingredients accurately and follow standardized recipes
- Garnish drinks appropriately and ensure beautiful presentation
- Brew and serve coffee, tea, and fresh juices

Customer Service:

- Greet guests warmly and create a welcoming, relaxed atmosphere
- Take orders professionally and make beverage recommendations
- Engage with guests in friendly conversation while maintaining professionalism
- Handle customer complaints or issues promptly and diplomatically
- Remember regular guests’ preferences and build rapport

Bar Operations:

- Open and close the bar according to schedule
- Maintain clean, organized, and well-stocked bar station
- Monitor inventory of spirits, wines, beers, mixers, and garnishes
- Report low stock levels to management and assist with ordering
- Operate POS system accurately and handle cash/card transactions
- Count cash drawer and prepare end-of-shift reports

Quality & Safety:





- Verify guest age and check ID for alcohol service (compliance with legal drinking age)
- Monitor guest alcohol consumption and refuse service responsibly
- Follow health, safety, and hygiene regulations consistently
- Clean and sanitize bar equipment, glassware, and work areas
- Store alcohol and ingredients properly following hotel policies
- Adhere to responsible alcohol service laws and hotel policies

Team Collaboration:

- Work cooperatively with bar staff, servers, and kitchen team
- Train new bartenders on bar standards and cocktail recipes
- Assist with menu development and special cocktail promotions
- Participate in team meetings, tastings, and training sessions
- Maintain positive working relationships with all staff

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

Essential:

- 2+ years of experience as a bartender in a bar, lounge, or hotel
- Strong knowledge of spirits, cocktails, wines, and beer
- Ability to mix cocktails quickly and accurately under pressure
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 15 kg
- Professional appearance and grooming standards
- Fluency in English and Tamil.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays

Preferred:

- Certification in bartending or mixology
- Experience working in upscale hotels, lounges,



or fine dining restaurants
- Knowledge of wine pairing and beer styles
- Ability to create signature cocktails and innovate menu items
- Familiarity with POS systems and inventory management
