Creative Designer

At Onething, we work on products that shape how people move, invest, learn, and live across industries. As a Creative Designer, you’ll shape how these experiences look, feel, and come together visually. You’ll lead the visual direction across web, mobile, enterprise platforms, and digital products, working closely with UX designers, strategists, project teams, and developers to turn ideas and user needs into distinctive, thoughtful, and well-crafted digital experiences.

Key Responsibilities‍

- Define the visual direction for digital product and brand-experience projects, from early exploration to final delivery.
- Create visual concepts, mood boards, style explorations, and high-fidelity interface directions that bring a clear creative point of view.
- Design polished, responsive interfaces for websites, enterprise software, dashboards, and mobile applications.
- Translate brand strategy and UX requirements into compelling UI, typography, colour, imagery, iconography, and motion principles.
- Build and evolve scalable visual systems, component libraries, and design guidelines that keep experiences consistent across screens and platforms.
- Partner with UX designers to ensure visual decisions support usability, hierarchy, accessibility, and clear user journeys.
- Lead and drive POCs and project kick-offs, taking ownership of early-stage visual exploration, creative direction, design approach, and setting the visual foundation for the project.
- Collaborate with developers to ensure design intent is carried through accurately into the final build.
- Present and articulate design rationale to internal teams and clients, incorporating feedback thoughtfully while protecting the quality of the work.
- Contribute to critiques, creative exploration,



and a high bar for craft across the studio.
- Stay Stay up to date about contemporary digital design, emerging tools, motion, AI-enabled workflows, and interaction patterns.

Job requirements

- 4-5 years of experience in visual design, UI design, product design, or a related digital design role, with a strong portfolio showcasing thoughtful and high-quality digital experiences across web, mobile, enterprise, or other complex products.
- Solid visual craft with a deep understanding of typography, layout, colour, composition, spacing, imagery, and visual hierarchy, and the ability to establish and maintain a distinct visual language across projects.
- Proficiency in Figma and experience working with components, auto layout, prototyping, design systems, and shared libraries. Familiarity with Adobe Creative Cloud and front-end fundamentals is a plus.
- Experience designing responsive digital experiences and translating visual direction into scalable, reusable systems while keeping usability, accessibility, and consistency in mind.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate creative decisions, lead discussions, work closely with clients and cross-functional teams, and respond thoughtfully to feedback.
- A proactive, collaborative approach with a strong sense of ownership, attention to detail, and the ability to drive visual quality from early exploration and POCs through to final delivery.
- Curiosity across areas such as motion, micro-interactions, illustration, 3D, creative coding, AI-enabled workflows, and emerging digital design practices is a plus.
- Experience working on B2B, SaaS, enterprise, fintech, healthcare, or other complex digital products is a plus.
- Experience mentoring designers, contributing to critiques, or helping raise the visual craft of a team is a plus.
