The Garden Lounge is hiring an experienced Pan Asian Chef / CDP – Pan Asian for our restaurant kitchen in Salt Lake, Kolkata.

We are looking for a skilled, disciplined and hands-on chef who can independently manage the Pan Asian section and consistently deliver high-quality food during busy restaurant operations.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare high-quality Pan Asian dishes according to recipes and SOPs.
- Independently handle the Pan Asian kitchen section.
- Maintain consistency in taste, presentation, portion size and quality.
- Handle wok cooking, noodles, fried rice, stir-fries, Asian soups and starters.
- Prepare Dim Sum, Momos, Asian sauces, marinades, stocks and accompaniments.
- Manage daily mise-en-place and ensure smooth service operations.
- Follow FIFO, proper storage, labelling and food-safety standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the workstation and kitchen equipment.
- Control food wastage and maintain proper portioning.
- Support food-cost control and inventory management.
- Coordinate with Executive Chef, Sous Chef and other kitchen sections.
- Assist in new dish development and menu trials when required.




- Train and guide junior kitchen team members.

Required Skills

- Strong knowledge of Chinese, Thai and Pan Asian cuisine.
- Excellent wok-handling skills.
- Experience with noodles, fried rice, stir-fries, soups and Asian starters.
- Knowledge of Dim Sum and Momos.
- Knowledge of Japanese, Korean, Ramen or Sushi will be an added advantage.
- Good knife skills and mise-en-place management.
- Ability to work efficiently during high-volume restaurant service.

Experience

Minimum 2–4 years of relevant experience in Pan Asian cuisine in a restaurant, hotel or hospitality brand.
