Job Summary:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and reliable Accountant to manage all financial transactions, from fixed payments and variable expenses to bank deposits and budgets. The ideal candidate will be proficient in accounting software and have a strong understanding of finance and accounting principles. As an Accountant, you will play a key role in maintaining financial accuracy, reporting, and providing insights into the company’s financial performance.

Key Responsibilities:

- Bookkeeping & Accounting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all financial transactions. Ensure proper documentation of invoices, receipts, and payments.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports, including profit & loss, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Budgeting: Assist in the preparation and monitoring of budgets, analyzing variances and providing recommendations for cost control.
- Accounts Payable & Receivable: Process invoices, payments, and follow up on outstanding balances. Ensure timely payments and receipts to/from clients, suppliers, and contractors.
- Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal tax regulations. Prepare and file tax returns, including GST, TDS, and others as required.
- Payroll Processing: Process employee salaries, bonuses, and statutory deductions. Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with labor laws.
- Audit Support: Assist in internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and information.
- Reconciliation: Reconcile bank accounts, ledgers,



and other financial records to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies.
- Cost Control: Track expenses related to ongoing projects, providing reports on project financials to ensure profitability.
- Financial Analysis: Prepare financial analysis reports and forecasts to support management decisions.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

- Bachelor’s or Masters degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or equivalent certification is a plus).
- Proven experience (2+ years) in accounting or finance, preferably in engineering, construction, or infrastructure industries.
- Strong proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, SAP) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Excellent understanding of accounting principles, financial regulations, and tax laws.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills and ability to collaborate with other departments.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Experience in payroll processing and financial audits is a plus.
- Knowledge of project accounting and cost tracking would be an advantage.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience in an infrastructure development or engineering company is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with project-based accounting, cost analysis, and reporting.
- Knowledge of ERP systems.
