Job Summary

The Electrical & Plumbing Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing electrical installations, maintenance, and troubleshooting of single-phase and three-phase systems, along with basic plumbing maintenance tasks across the facility. The role includes preventive maintenance of electrical panels, motor wiring, testing activities, outdoor electrical work, and plumbing repairs. The technician must ensure all work is carried out safely, including tasks at height and outdoor maintenance, while complying with safety standards and operational procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Electrical Works

- Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of single-phase electrical systems in building infrastructure.
- Execute three-phase motor wiring, installation, and capacitor connections.
- Repair and replace electrical components such as MCBs, relays, and contactors in circuits and distribution panels.
- Conduct earthing resistance testing and lux level (illumination) testing to ensure compliance with required standards.
- Carry out preventive maintenance of electrical distribution panels using checklist-based mobile or app-based maintenance workflows.
- Perform high-level and outdoor electrical work, including maintenance of canopy lighting, yard lights, and outdoor fixtures.
- Rectify minor canopy structural leaks affecting electrical installations.

2. Plumbing Works

- Replace taps and hose pipes across the facility.
- Repair or replace gaskets, sealants,



and plumbing fittings in pipelines and fixtures.
- Detect and rectify pipeline leakages (water or discharge lines).
- Support the maintenance team in maintaining overall plumbing infrastructure within the facility.

3. General Maintenance & Safety

- Safely perform work at heights using ladders, lifts, or scaffolding, following proper fall-protection procedures.
- Use electrical testing instruments such as multimeters, insulation testers, lux meters, and earth testers.
- Troubleshoot electrical and plumbing issues and perform preventive maintenance to avoid equipment breakdowns.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, including work performed, parts used, and preventive maintenance schedules.
- Collaborate with the maintenance team to address urgent repair requests and ensure facility operations remain safe and functional.

Qualifications Educational Requirements:

- Diploma or equivalent qualification in Electrical Technology / Electrician Trade from an Industrial Training Institute (ITI) or a recognized technical institute.

Experience:

- Prior experience in electrical and plumbing maintenance roles is preferred.

Technical Skills:

- Solid knowledge of electrical installations, motor wiring, panel maintenance, testing, and troubleshooting.
- Basic plumbing maintenance skills, including fixture replacement, leak detection, and pipeline repair.
- Ability to work outdoors and at heights.
- Familiarity with electrical and plumbing safety regulations and best practices.
