Job Purpose

To operate and monitor the heat-treatment process for rotavator blades to achieve the required hardness, toughness, strength, wear resistance, and dimensional quality as per specified standards and production requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Operate heat-treatment furnaces and related equipment safely and efficiently.
- Carry out heating, hardening, quenching and tempering processes as per approved process parameters.
- Maintain required furnace temperature, heating time, quenching conditions and tempering temperature.
- Check and record process parameters for every batch.
- Ensure proper loading and unloading of rotavator blades to avoid deformation and damage.
- Monitor blade hardness using a hardness-testing machine.




- Ensure blades meet specified hardness and mechanical-quality requirements.
- Identify defects such as cracks, distortion, soft spots, excessive hardness or improper heat treatment.
- Coordinate with the Quality and Production departments for inspection and corrective action.
- Maintain heat-treatment batch records, inspection reports and production records.
- Perform routine inspection and basic maintenance of furnace, quenching tank, temperature controllers and related equipment.
- Ensure quenching oil/water condition is maintained as per process requirements.
- Follow 5S, PPE, safety procedures and housekeeping standards.
- Report equipment abnormalities, quality issues and process deviations to the supervisor immediately.
- Follow company SOPs, work instructions and quality standards.
- Support continuous improvement activities to reduce rejection, distortion and process variation.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹28,000.00 per month
