Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Accounts Manager to lead and manage our Accounts team. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of accounting operations in the jewellery industry, month-end and year-end finalisation, internal auditing, financial reporting, inventory accounting, GST compliance, and ERP-based accounting systems.

The candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of financial records, maintaining strong internal controls, coordinating with auditors, and providing timely financial information to management.

Key Responsibilities

1. Accounts Team Management

- Lead, supervise, and guide the Accounts team in day-to-day accounting activities.
- Allocate responsibilities and monitor the performance of team members.
- Review accounting entries and ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Establish and maintain proper accounting procedures and internal controls.
- Ensure timely completion of all accounting activities.

2. Month-End Finalisation

- Lead the month-end closing and finalisation process.
- Review ledgers, provisions, accruals, receivables, payables, and other accounting adjustments.
- Prepare and review monthly financial statements and management reports.

3. Year-End Finalisation

- Lead the year-end closing and finalisation of accounts.
- Prepare schedules and supporting documents required for statutory and financial audits.
- Coordinate with external auditors and provide required information and documentation.

4. Internal Audit & Financial Controls

- Conduct and coordinate periodic internal audits of accounting operations.
- Review internal controls and identify financial and operational risks.
- Verify cash, bank, receivables, payables, purchases, sales, expenses, and inventory-related transactions.

5. Jewellery Accounting & Inventory

- Manage accounting related to gold, silver, diamond, and other jewellery products.
- Monitor purchase, sales, stock, wastage, making charges, and inventory-related accounting.
- Reconcile physical inventory with ERP/accounting records.

ERP & Accounting Software

- Manage and monitor accounting operations through the company's ERP/accounting software.
- Ensure proper recording and classification of transactions in the ERP system.
- Review ERP reports and identify discrepancies.

7. GST & Statutory Compliance

- Ensure accurate GST accounting and timely compliance.
- Review GST-related transactions, input tax credit, output tax, and reconciliations.
- Coordinate with tax consultants and statutory auditors when required.
- Ensure compliance with applicable statutory requirements and company policies.

8. Banking & Reconciliation

- Review daily and monthly bank reconciliations.
- Monitor company bank transactions and outstanding items.
- Review cash transactions and cash balances.

9. Financial Reporting

- Prepare and review monthly financial reports for management.
- Provide analysis of revenue, expenses, profitability, receivables, payables, inventory, and cash flow.
- Provide financial information and reports required for management decision-making.
- Highlight significant financial variances and unusual transactions.

10. Audit & Compliance Coordination

- Coordinate with internal, statutory, tax, and other auditors.
- Prepare audit schedules and supporting documents.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience as an Accounts Manager in the jewellery industry.
- Strong knowledge of jewellery accounting and inventory management.
- Valuable knowledge of month-end and year-end account finalisation.
- Experience in internal auditing and financial controls.
- Strong knowledge of GST and statutory accounting requirements.
- Hands-on experience with ERP/accounting software.
- Strong knowledge of MS Excel and financial reporting.
- Good team management and leadership skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work under deadlines, particularly during month-end and year-end closing.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
