Job Purpose

The KG Coordinator is responsible for providing academic leadership and administrative support to the Kindergarten section, ensuring a nurturing, child-centered, and engaging learning environment. The coordinator will mentor teachers, monitor curriculum implementation, maintain high teaching standards, and foster strong relationships with parents.

In addition to coordinating the Kindergarten wing, the candidate should be a passionate educator with excellent English communication skills who is willing and capable of teaching English or other relevant subjects for a few periods each week in Grades 1–5 as required.

Key ResponsibilitiesAcademic Leadership

- Plan, coordinate, and monitor the implementation of the Kindergarten curriculum.
- Ensure age-appropriate, activity-based, and experiential learning practices.
- Guide teachers in lesson planning, assessments, classroom management, and differentiated instruction.
- Observe classrooms regularly and provide constructive feedback to improve teaching quality.
- Introduce innovative teaching methodologies and best classroom practices.

Teacher Development

- Mentor, coach, and support Kindergarten teachers.
- Organize regular meetings, workshops, and professional development sessions.
- Encourage collaboration, creativity, and continuous improvement among staff.

Student Development

- Monitor students' academic, social, emotional, and behavioural progress.
- Ensure every child receives appropriate support for holistic development.
- Promote a safe, joyful, and inclusive learning environment.

Parent Engagement





- Build positive relationships with parents through regular communication.
- Conduct orientation programmes and parent meetings.
- Address parent concerns professionally and collaboratively.

Administrative Responsibilities

- Prepare academic calendars, timetables, and event plans for the Kindergarten section.
- Coordinate celebrations, exhibitions, assemblies, and special events.
- Maintain academic records, reports, and documentation.
- Ensure classrooms are well-organized, child-friendly, and adequately resourced.

Teaching Responsibilities

- Teach English or other assigned subjects for a few periods per week in Grades 1–5.
- Demonstrate exemplary teaching practices that inspire both students and fellow teachers.
- Integrate interactive, communicative, and activity-based learning strategies into classroom instruction.
- Serve as a role model by maintaining high standards of classroom teaching.

Qualifications

- Master's Degree in English, Education, or a related discipline (preferred).
- B.Ed. or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Montessori, ECCEd, or Early Childhood Education certification is an added advantage.

Experience

- Minimum 5 years of teaching experience in Kindergarten or Primary.




- At least 2 years of experience in an academic leadership or coordination role is preferred.
