About Us
We're a specialised IT group based in Sydney, Australia, with two decades of history in the enterprise technology sector. As a close-knit collective of related IT companies, we hold one of the largest inventories of Data Centre hardware in the Southern Hemisphere, delivering remote and onsite services across server, storage, and networking platforms. We help clients extend hardware lifecycles with sustainable, cost-effective alternatives to traditional equipment replacement.

About the Role
We're looking for a highly experienced, results-driven Senior Finance Officer to own our end-to-end financial operations. This is a pivotal position for a seasoned finance professional with at least 10 years of progressive experience, comfortable bridging hands-on bookkeeping with strategic financial leadership in a cross-border business. You'll partner directly with the General Manager and Managing Director, ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of all financial activities across our Australian and international entities.

Key Responsibilities

Bookkeeping & Accounting Operations

- Manage daily financial transactions: accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, journal entries, and bank reconciliations across AU and overseas entities
- Ensure accurate, timely payroll for staff in Australia and the Philippines, complying with BIR and Australian payroll obligations
- Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports
- Maintain audit-ready records across both jurisdictions and reconcile balance sheet accounts

- Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, and regulators

Financial Management & Strategy

- Develop and monitor annual budgets, rolling forecasts, and cash flow projections
- Deliver financial analysis, variance reports, and performance dashboards to senior leadership
- Identify financial risks and opportunities, recommending ways to optimise performance
- Ensure ongoing compliance with Australian accounting standards
- Design and improve financial controls and procedures for a distributed team
- Support pricing strategies and investment decisions through financial modelling
- Contribute to long-term financial planning aligned with regional growth goals

Requirements

- Minimum 10 years of progressive bookkeeping/financial management experience
- At least 3 years of Australian payroll experience (PAYG, Superannuation, related obligations)
- At least 3 years' experience using Xero
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA highly preferred
- Experience managing multi-currency, cross-border financial operations (AU/PH exposure a strong plus)
- Background in IT distribution, technology, or product-based businesses is an advantage
- Robust Excel/Google Sheets skills (financial modelling, pivot tables, dashboards)
- Familiarity with cloud-based tools and distributed team workflows (e.g., Google Workspace)
