Job Description – Electrical AutoCAD Draftsman

Position: Electrical AutoCAD Draftsman / Site Electrical Draftsman
Job Responsibilities
- Visit project sites regularly to inspect and understand electrical installation work.
- Take site measurements and collect information about the actual work completed.
- Prepare as-built electrical drawings in AutoCAD based on site conditions.
- Convert site measurements, sketches, and electrical installation details into accurate AutoCAD drawings.
- Prepare and update electrical layouts, cable routing, lighting layouts, power layouts, DB layouts, single-line diagrams, and other electrical drawings.
- Coordinate with site engineers and supervisors to verify that drawings match the actual installation.
- Make necessary modifications to drawings based on site changes and work progress.
- Maintain proper drawing revisions and submit updated drawings as required.
- Identify discrepancies between approved drawings and actual site installation and update drawings accordingly.
- Ensure drawings are accurate, clear, and completed within project deadlines.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- ITI / Diploma in Electrical Engineering or relevant qualification.
- Good knowledge of AutoCAD and electrical drafting.
- Ability to read and understand electrical drawings.
- Practical understanding of electrical installations, wiring, cable trays, conduits, DBs, lighting, power points, etc.
- Willingness to travel to project sites for measurements and inspections.
- Valuable communication and coordination skills.
- Experience in preparing as-built drawings will be an advantage.
- Freshers with good AutoCAD and basic electrical knowledge may also be considered.
