JOB DESCRIPTION HR Executive

Industry: Lab-Grown Diamonds / Jewellery
Location: JIH, Mumbai
Job Type: Full-Time | On-Site
Working Days: Monday to Saturday
Weekly Off: Sunday
Working Hours: 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM

About the Role

We are looking for a responsible, organized, and people-oriented HR Executive to manage day-to-day HR operations for our growing lab-grown diamond business.

The candidate will be responsible for recruitment, employee records, attendance, leave management, payroll coordination, employee engagement, HR policies, and general HR administration. The role will involve working closely with management and employees to ensure smooth and disciplined HR operations.

Key Responsibilities1. Recruitment & Hiring

- Manage end-to-end recruitment for various positions across the company.
- Understand manpower requirements from different departments.
- Prepare and post job openings on Naukri, LinkedIn, Indeed, social media and other recruitment platforms.
- Screen resumes and shortlist suitable candidates.
- Conduct initial HR interviews and coordinate management interviews.
- Follow up with candidates until joining.
- Maintain an updated candidate database and talent pipeline.
- Prepare offer letters and joining documentation.

2. Joining & Onboarding

- Complete joining formalities and collect required employee documents.
- Maintain employee personal files and HR records.
- Conduct employee induction and explain company policies, working hours, attendance and leave procedures.
- Ensure new employees are properly introduced to their respective departments.

3. Attendance & Leave Management

- Maintain daily employee attendance and biometric records.
- Monitor late coming, early leaving and absenteeism.
- Manage leave applications and maintain leave records.
- Prepare monthly attendance reports for payroll.
- Monitor employee discipline and adherence to office timings.
- Escalate repeated attendance or discipline issues to management.

4. Payroll Coordination

- Coordinate with the Accounts/Payroll team for monthly salary processing.
- Verify attendance, leave, incentives, deductions and other payroll inputs.
- Maintain records of salary revisions, increments and employee changes.




- Handle basic employee queries relating to salary, deductions and attendance.
- Ensure payroll information is accurate and submitted within deadlines.

5. Employee Relations

- Act as the first point of contact for employees regarding HR-related matters.
- Handle employee grievances and workplace concerns professionally.
- Maintain confidentiality of employee information.
- Support management in resolving employee-related issues.
- Maintain a positive, professional and disciplined work environment.

6. HR Policies & Administration

- Implement and communicate company HR policies.
- Maintain employee handbook, HR forms and internal HR documentation.
- Maintain updated employee master data.
- Issue employment-related letters such as appointment letters, confirmation letters, experience letters and relieving letters.
- Maintain records of employee joining, confirmation, transfer, promotion and exit.

7. Performance Management

- Coordinate employee performance reviews and appraisal processes.
- Maintain performance records.
- Follow up with department heads regarding employee evaluations.
- Support management in identifying training and development requirements.

8. Employee Engagement

- Organize employee engagement activities, celebrations and internal events.
- Support initiatives to improve employee morale and team coordination.
- Maintain effective communication between employees and management.

9. Exit & Full & Final Process

- Handle employee resignation and exit formalities.
- Conduct exit interviews where required.
- Coordinate handover and clearance procedures.
- Coordinate with Accounts for full & final settlement.
- Issue relieving and experience letters after completion of formalities.

10. HR Compliance

- Maintain proper HR records and documentation required for statutory compliance.




- Coordinate with external HR/Payroll consultants wherever required.
- Assist in compliance relating to PF, ESIC, Professional Tax, Bonus, Gratuity, Shops & Establishment and other applicable labour regulations.
- Ensure employee documentation is maintained properly for audits and inspections.

Candidate Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, Commerce or a related field.
- 2–5 years of relevant HR experience preferred.
- Experience in Jewellery, Lab-Grown Diamond, Manufacturing, Retail or related industries will be an advantage.
- Positive knowledge of recruitment and HR operations.
- Working knowledge of payroll and attendance management.
- Basic knowledge of labour laws and statutory HR compliance.
- Good knowledge of MS Excel, Word and email.
- Experience with HRMS/attendance software will be an advantage.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good organizational and documentation skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Mature, responsible and professional approach.

Salary: As per experience, skills and suitability for the role.

Pay: ₹28,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
